Ingredients
 
 

  • 4 tablespoon Flour
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • 5 tablespoon Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon Nutella
  • Powder sugar (for the top)

Instructions
 

  • In a big mug or a small bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Add the wet ingredients: milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Transfer the batter into a mug. (if you’re using a small mixing bowl)
  • Place 1-2 tablespoon of Nutella spread on top of the batter.
  • Place the mug in the microwave and microwave for 1 minute and 20 seconds.
  • Place another teaspoon of Nutella on top and dust with powder sugar.
  • Serve the Nutella mug cake hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Measure your flour correctly! When measuring your flour, avoid scooping it with a measuring cup. Instead, stir the flour with a spoon to create as many air pockets as possible, and spoon it into your measuring cup. Finally, level it with a back of a knife.
  • Don’t overmix the batter, you don’t want to develop the gluten in the flour. This step ensures you have a moist cake and not a dense and dry cake.
  • Don't overcook the mug cake! If you will overcook your mug cake, it will turn out dry.
