Ingredients

  • 1 cup Yogurt full fat
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • ½ cup Dill chopped
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 clove Garlic grated
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil extra virgin

Instructions

  • Into a medium mixing bowl, add the yogurt, chopped dill, grated garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix with a whisk and a spoon until well combined.
  • Top it with a drizzle of olive oil and more chopped dill and serve it with your favorite main or side dish!

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavors! We suggest not using store-bought pre-grated garlic or store-bought lemon juice. The best flavors come from fresh ingredients.
  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for this recipe! To get a creamy and thicker sauce, you will need to use full-fat yogurt.
  • Add your favorite spices to this sauce like cayenne pepper, chili flakes, cumin, turmeric, etc. Make this recipe your own!
  • Finely chop fresh dill. The dill is the star of this sauce, so use plenty of it for maximum flavor.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Taste as you go and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  • Let it chill. Refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Adjust consistency. If the sauce is too thick, thin it out with a bit of water or milk. For a thicker texture, strain some of the liquid from the yogurt.
  • Make this recipe vegan by using your favorite plain vegan Greek yogurt. Use full fat as well.
