What are pasta chips?
Pasta Chips are the latest trend on Tiktok, they are, made deep-fried, baked in the oven, or cooked in the air fryer. These chips are golden brown chips that you make by tossing cooked pasta, cheese, and spices together.
You can change the spices and the cheeses to whatever flavors you like best.

Ingredients
Cooked pasta- use any kind of your favorite pasta, we used Farfalle pasta. Cook the pasta to al dente.
Parmesan cheese- use grated parmesan cheese for this recipe.
Garlic powder- for flavor. Feel free to add your favorite savory spices that you like most.
Salt and pepper- to your taste. we used kosher salt and freshly grated black pepper.
Oregano- we used dried oregano for this recipe. feel free to use your favorite Italian seasoning for this recipe like dried basil, dried parsley, dried thyme, dried rosemary, etc.
Oil- we used extra virgin olive oil, but you can use canola oil or vegetable oil!
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180c (350f) and prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook the pasta to al dente in salted water according to the package instructions.
Toss the cooked pasta in a big mixing bowl and add the parmesan, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and olive oil, and mix with a spoon until combined.

Spread the pasta on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the pasta chips are golden brown and crispy.


Serve the pasta chips with your favorite sauce or dip, we used the marinara sauce.
How to make them in the air fryer
If you’re making pasta chips in the air fryer, it will be quicker.
Make the pasta mixture as written in the instructions, then transfer the pasta into an air fryer, and cook it for 8-10 minutes at 200c (400f) or until golden brown and crispy.
Expert tips
- Make the pasta in salted water. this will make sure that the pasta flavor isn’t flat. add a generous amount of salt to the boiling water.
- Cook the pasta to al dente. to stop the pasta from turning soggy from the juices, cook the pasta al dente. this step will keep your pasta salad fresh and delicious.
- Use fresh ingredients! this pasta recipe is the perfect vegetarian snack for any occasion!
- If you are using an air fryer, cook them in batches to give them enough space to be extra crispy.

Yes! If you don’t like parmesan, simply skip it. You can add more spices to your liking and make the pasta chips your own.
We made this pasta dish with Farfalle pasta, but any kind of pasta is supposed to work great for this recipe. Try to use short pasta for the best results.
Yes! Deep-fried pasta chips are popular as well. Simply cook the pasta in salted water, fry it in hot oil until it's golden brown, drain excess oils, and season it with your favorite seasoning or as written in the recipe!

If you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight ziplock bag for 3-4 days at room temperature.

If you would like to freeze these, you totally can! Simply make it and bake it according to the instructions, let it cool to room temperature, and either place it in a freezer-friendly airtight container, or place it in a ziplock bag. Freeze up to 2 months.
Substitutions
Whole grain- You can use any kind of your favorite pasta kinds and pasta shapes., like chickpea pasta, brown rice pasta, spinach pasta, quinoa pasta, etc.
Vegan- It is very easy to make this recipe vegan, simply replace the parmesan cheese with vegan parmesan cheese.
Gluten-free- you can make this recipe gluten-free by using gluten-free pasta. Simply follow the instructions as written.

Seasoning- use your favorite variations of spices. Some of our favorites are Italian seasoning, everything bagel seasoning, paprika, onion powder, chili flakes, etc.
