Before you start to make this egg breakfast sandwich recipe, measure and prepare your ingredients so the cooking process will go smoothly and easily.
Bread- we like to use whole bread for a healthier sandwich or challah bread for a more delicious sandwich. Use your favorite type of bread.
Egg- you will need 3 large eggs for this recipe.
Cheese- we used gouda cheese in this recipe but you can use your favorite kind of cheese for this sandwich like mozzarella, cheddar, Grier, etc.
Butter- use butter or oil to prevent the egg from sticking to the pan.

Kosher salt- use your favorite type of salt. we like using kosher salt best in baking and cooking. we find kosher salt the most convenient.
Black pepper- we like using ground black pepper for this recipe.
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, mix the eggs, salt, and black pepper.
Heat a medium-size pan with a tablespoon of butter.
Spread an even layer of butter on one side of the bread.
Pour the beaten egg over the pan. Immediately place the bread slices buttered size up and cook on medium heat for 1-2 minutes or until the egg is half cooked.
Flip the egg and bread and add two slices of cheese.
Fold the egg sides on the piece of bread. Fold the slice of bread over the second slice of bread.
Cook the egg sandwich for 1-2 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown.
Serve warm next to fresh fruit and orange juice/ coffee.
